ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini each keep their own sidebar, and none of them can see the others. Keep puts a single folder tree over all three, so you can find the conversation you half-remember without guessing which assistant you had it in.
Free forever for 3 folders and 30 filed conversations. No account, no sign-up, no email required.
Keep has no server, no account and no analytics. It reads the conversation list already drawn on the page, keeps your folders in your own browser, and asks for permission on exactly three sites.
In January 2026, two extensions in this category were caught sending users' chats to outside servers, affecting about 900,000 people. Any extension can claim it does not do that. The version worth trusting is the one where you can check: Keep requests no permission that would let it send your text anywhere, and there is no backend for it to send to.
Conversations from ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini sit in the same folders. Drag a chat onto a folder to file it.
Search from whichever assistant you are on and see matches from the other two.
Markdown, plain text or JSON, saved or copied. Markdown drops straight into Obsidian or Notion.
Carry a conversation from ChatGPT to Claude with the transcript intact, ready to continue.
The four or five threads you keep reopening stay at the top, on every assistant.
Deleting a folder never deletes conversations, and a refresh never unfiles one.
Keep is a Chrome extension. It appears as a tab on the right edge of ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Scroll your conversation list once and it fills in.
Free is genuinely usable. Pro is for people who live in more than one assistant.
Everything you need if you mostly use one assistant.
One payment. Yours for good, on every browser you use.
The same features, if you would rather not pay up front.
Paid through Paddle, who handle the payment and the tax. Your licence key arrives by email straight after. Fourteen-day refund, no questions.
Check the permissions Chrome shows you when you install it. Keep asks for storage, clipboard, and access to three sites. It has no permission to contact any other server, and there is no Keep server to contact. The code that reads your page never sends what it reads anywhere; it writes it to your browser's own storage.
Nothing is deleted. You drop back to the free plan, keep every folder and every filed conversation, and lose the Pro features until you activate again. You cannot file new conversations past the free limit, but nothing you already filed is touched. This is why the lifetime licence exists.
Yes. The key is not tied to a device. Paste it into Keep's settings on each browser you use.
It will happen, and it is the honest risk of every extension in this category. Keep is built so a layout change stops new conversations appearing, rather than losing the folders you already have. Report it and it gets fixed.
Yes. They all run Chrome extensions. Install from the Chrome Web Store as normal.
Fourteen days, no questions asked. Reply to your receipt and it is done.
